PVC Film (Polyvinyl Chloride Film)

PVC film is a thin film material made primarily from polyvinyl chloride resin, with the addition of plasticizers, stabilizers, lubricants and other additives, produced by calendering, extrusion or blow molding.

• Appearance: Slightly yellowish, translucent and glossy; soft films are flexible and tough, while rigid films are stiff.

• Properties: Waterproof, acid and alkali resistant, electrically insulating, easy to form, low cost; disadvantages include low heat resistance (long-term use ≤60°C), easy aging, and tendency of plasticizer migration.

                  Main Application Areas

1. Packaging Industry (Largest Usage)

Food: Shrink packaging for fresh meat, fruits and vegetables (not for high-fat or high-temperature applications).
Medicine: Blister packs for tablets and capsules, pharmaceutical composite films.
Daily necessities: Transparent packaging for cosmetics, stationery and gifts; wire and cable sheathing.
Industry: Moisture and dust protection for hardware and electronic components.

2. Construction & Decoration (Approx. 60% of Total Consumption)

Decorative film: Furniture veneers, cabinet doors, interior wall and ceiling films.
Waterproofing: Roof waterproofing, basement moisture proofing, tunnel anti-seepage membranes.
Protective film: Temporary surface protection for building materials, doors, windows and glass.
Membrane structures: Stadium roofs, carports, landscape corridors (tensile membranes).

3. Medical Supplies (Medical Grade)

• Infusion bags, blood transfusion bags, medical gloves, dialysis tubing, operating table sheets.
• Note: PVC has been replaced by non-PVC materials in some applications (e.g. infusion bags).

4. Agriculture

• Greenhouse films (light-transmitting and heat-preserving), livestock and poultry shed films, farmland anti-seepage membranes.

5. Daily Necessities & Industry

Daily necessities: Raincoats, shower curtains, tablecloths, umbrellas, inflatable toys.
Advertising: Light box fabrics, vehicle stickers, outdoor billboards (weather-resistant grade).
